1986 Hanebrink SE Shocker

Re:

Small evolution…
Firstly a Cook's crank. I will swap it with my Manitou's Cook's which seems to be earlier.
The more interesting was the cleaning of the Shocker :

Firstly, the inner tube : look at the high technology of the pneumatic valve :

And the O-Ring…

Removing some black dirty oil for a nice cool Pace RC7 grease and know the inner tube is moving nicely.

Secondly, linkage and rocker :

Just some new grease and suspension is now well working.
I adjust the pressure at 150 PSI and played with the quick realease for adjusting the damping for keeping an active suspension without losting pedaling power.

Just a comparison with my son's Kokua : Quite the same design30 years later ;)

Love this bike so much. great era where complete MTB groupsets were not yet fully developed and lots of experimentation was going on with big and small brands alike. Great mix of components and love the contrast between the skinny chrome forks and industrious rear triangle construction. Must be great fun to ride. ENJOY! :)

Re:

It's quite an all Suntour groupo : Rear and front derailleurs, shifters, hubs, brakes (except front Shimano M700 cantilevers) and the stem !
I tried to change some parts : saddle, bar and stem for a Bullmose… But I always come back to the original mombat built  It was perfect !
(Just the Cook's crankset because BB is Cook Bros and first Hanebrink got one)

I just have to find a new ball for the suspension linkage
