1985 Gios Professional neoretro project *finished page 6*

Yeah, a great bike back on the Street! But you forgot the rubber Hoods for the brakecable inserts in the Top tube. If you havent got the Original Gios ones try to get them, because the Cinelli Hoods are not tight, so water Runs in the frame

Indeed, im keeping my eyes peeled for some original ones, it won't be ridden in the wet unless I get caught out.

I didn't want to use the cinelli ones because they come in silly colours & never fitted properly before.

Has your frame a sticker on the Steering tube or is it the Metal shield? I cant tell by the picture

Re:

It's a sticker on top of the clear (so it can be easily removed) as again I intend to get a steel badge when I can source one.

Great paintjob, usually the guys paint a bike like a car so you cant read the Pantos anymore. Everything looks like new, but the seatpost. A bikers work never ends.

Well, I just contacted Marco Gios. He wrote, that they offer these Rubbers again BUT they cost 30 € a pair and had to be picked up in Italy! A Friends of mine is a Gios-Collector and down in Italy 2/3 Times a year so he can pick them up then. The Head-shield is something more difficult. I got one spare, but it needs some TLC. It was drilled of the frame so bigger rivets could be necessary. Any Interest?
