Sadly, with my back not being what it was, I've decided to let this one go.

I'm selling frame, fork and wheels as a package, which obviously includes the hub brakes and hardwear.

I'm also throwing in the original saracen grips, original shimano pd200 pedals, the Tange headset, the seat pillar and the freewheel.....oh and the original Hutchinson show tyres and the original Kosuki bars.

Frame dimensions are below, but remember this is pre norba geometry and is supposed to ride like a road bike sizing...IE top tube will be high.....as you can see its really too small for me as the seats up way too high! 🤣

Seat tube c t c 21"
Top tube c to c 57"
Heat tube 6 3/4"

Tubing is Reynolds 531 (road as its pre mtb tubing i believe), wheels are Sturmey Archer internal brake hubs, with new ACI st/steel spokes and nips, on Araya rims (no wear...for obvious reasons) 🤣.

The bike had a total rebuild last year, wheels and hubs rebuilt with new shoes in one, springs, spokes etc....see photos.

Obviously the frame has patina, but looks pretty cool imho.

Ideal base for a really cool bike for cruising on or building a clunker.

Happy to discuss other parts with buyer when sold.

£150 plus the post....

uk mainland postage only....PayPal friends payment please.

Cheers

Well....you need to try to be pragmatic about these things....else you end up with a whole load of stuff you can't or won't use. Its a beautiful thing with good history, and it should be out there on the trails....not lurking in a shed.

As a height guide, the original seatposts from these only had 6" clear out of the frame to the seat rail clamp MAX!

Standover floor to top of top tube is 33"....but its not supposed to be miles from your crown jewels....think road bike rather than 90s mtb.

I would say that makes it top end medium to large in size.

OMG! Bargain alert!!! Would love this, but not in the position to buy anything at the moment. @August Bicycles , I'm only 5' 7" but can ride a 22.5" 1988 Hardrock and it's a good fit 'cos these 80s bikes are not super-stretched and really comfy to ride.

However I do have negative ball clearance which is something I need to remember when dismounting/waiting at lights etc! 🤪

If someone in the mid 90s (once I has stopped growing) told me that I could ride a 22.5" MTB I would have laughed as I was riding and racing 16" frames.
