1984 Cunningham Racer - "Big Red"

Don't get me wrong, the other stuff is good, but this is the top of the pile.

I need to get some better pictures, update my websites and post some more in reader's rides.

Thanks! It is one of my main riders. It is something of a restoration project too. Steve Potts recently built the fork and Charlie Cunningham built the seatpost. I am working with Charlie to make togglecam hardware for the front brake, which is currently a rollercam. A friend of mine with connections in Taiwan did a limited run of WTB-style cable stops for the front.

The bike is amazing to ride.

Missed this first time around. Forgotten how amazingly ahead of their time these bikes were - alu, oversize seatposts, super-sloped top tubes, straight forks. Very cool.
