I have the bike now :D turns out the derailleur is a suntour mountain tech, the same as what came on the original stump jumper.

Here are the pics no cleaning done yet so the bike is a bit dirty after sitting for so many years

Nice one - the bike is in great nick for it's age. It's almost the same as my 1980's Centurion mtb I'm doing up and even the parts are similar (seems like Suntour was king back then?!!) but you're lucky you won't need to do much restoration work on it! Hang on to it and enjoy. :D

Well I'm all done cleaning the bike and I have to say... This thing is pretty cool. The part spec looks sraight from the 1983 suntour catalog

Components:
Suntour MounTech front and rear derailleurs
Micro Lite Power Thumb Shifters
XC-II pedals
sealed cartridge bearing hubs
sealed bearing bottom bracket
New Winner 14/30 corrosion-proof 5 speed freewheel
Z chain
Superbe headset with alloy lock nut ( with nashiki stamping)
Dia Compe 980 cantilevers with motorcycle style levers
Sugino forged AT cranks
Sr laprade seat post
Bull moose bars
Araya rims

I will take some pics tomorrow when the sun comes out again looks really mint minus a few scratches on the top tube from the bars spinning around and the brake levers hitting. But I don't think I want to touch up anything, just keep it clean to preserve the look of the bike :D
