1982 Coventry Eagle .. restomod

My first drop bar bike bought new in 1982. It's been through many updates over the years, but hadn't been used much for some time as most modern equipment is just nicer to ride.
Probably not to everyones liking with the mix of equipment, but it rides nicely and I like it. I'm just working on a nicer bottle cage adapter to finish it off.

Nice, always liked a good resto-mod. Why don’t you drill a couple of holes in the frame instead of putting on that ugly bottle cage adapter ( unless you can get it in orange )

Thanks. I have a cnc'd adapter which does not fit the tubing size so I'm in the process of making a clamp that does fit, we'll see how it looks once it's fitted. I'm sure drilling the frame and fitting rivnuts would look cleanest but I'm not sure yet. I know the frame itself is only worth maybe £20 but it was mine after moving on from a Raleigh Chopper as a kid.

Yes, there were very few options to use the bars I wanted, the quill adapters and modern stems just didn't look right. This was made by Pi at Clandestine to the size, angle and length I wanted.

Hope that has been fully NDT MPI’ed or Dye Penned before you use it……
