1982 Claud Butler 'Special' *** SOLD ***

JakeStockwell

Dirt Disciple
Early eighties Claud Butler that is badged 'Special' but is most likely a Majestic that was re-branded for a short run produced for FW Evans. (That's the best I could discover on t'internet). Well used & featuring a lot of original parts, she's in grubby running condition. Too small for me & I've come over all Kona so this nice machine has to go! Frame size is 21" / 53cm, so a Medium.
I'll take £50 for her (FIRM) & can ship at your expense.
Broken & cleaned this bike is worth more than what I'm asking, & if no-one here wants it to restore / put it into use that's exactly what I'll do!
Feel free to ask any questions...

Reynolds 531 frame & forks (built by Holdsworth) straight & true. Dark blue paint features numerous chips and abrasions commensurate with a working bike of this age.
Suntour AR derailleurs front & rear
Suntour shifters downtube mounted (clamp)
Takagi 'Allez' crankset (50 / 34)
Lyotard pedals (original?)
Original GB stem & bars
Weinmann Vainqueur brakes (610 front / 750 rear) with recent pad change
Weinmann levers
Unnamed rim on front with very slight wobble (probably OEM)
Sansin hub on front runs smooth with moderate cone movement (probably just loose)
Weinmann RM19 rim / Quando hub rear runs smooth with very slight wobble
Lightly used Schwalbe Marathons front & rear (27")
Original backrack
Non-standard saddle (Bikehut; fitted by previous owner)
New front mudguard
Heavily-oiled chain (one of my OCDs) that is too short but came with bike & I haven't replaced as I bash about in high gear
