Updated pics and dropping price to $699...basically the value of the parts alone (IMHO)
Willing to sell complete Dura Ace AX group (everything minus frame and fork) for $599 + shipping

Fresh out of 25+ years in dry storage! This is a rare 1982 Vista Professional Model "Aero Team" Aerodynamics road bike. This is essentially an Araya 821 or a Tsunoda Aerodynamics bike rebranded as a Vista. Based on my limited knowledge, Vista was a brand created by the National Independent Dealers Association (NIDA) in the '60s. They sourced parts from all the same suppliers as the other main brands of the era. In this case, they sourced the aero frame directly from Araya in Japan (as indicated by the serial number ARYK161 stamped in the BB shell) and built it up with full Shimano Dura Ace AX 7300 series aerodynamic series group (original Shimano Aero Systems decal on frame). The frame tubing is all Tange Aero multidimensional aero tubes (with original decal present). This was their top level bike and is surprisingly light for a bike from the very early 1980s.

Paint is original and in good condition, sparing some nicks and scratches here and there. One very very shallow ding on top tube from bar swing around (non drive side). Too small and shallow to photo well (visible in top tube pic). All original decals are present and look nice. Dropouts are Shimano with limiter screws. Very cool frameset.

Components:
Shifters- Shimano Dura Ace AX aero downtube levers
Rear Derailleur- Shimano Dura Ace AX, 7 speed
Front derailleur- Shimano Dura Ace AX, braze on
Calipers- Shimano Dura Ace AX Paralel Pull, good pads
Levers- Shimano Dura Ace AX aero, Dia Compe hoods
Crankset- Shimano Dura Ace AX. 170mm standard
Bottom bracket- Shimano Dura Ace AX, English
Pedals- Shimano Dura Ace AX Dyna Drive aero platforms with Shimano toe clips and KKT straps
Seatpost- Shimano Dura Ace AX aero with original dust seal
Stem- Shimano Dura Ace AX aero, 1" quill
Headset- Shimano Dura Ace AX 1" threaded (with original dust seal)
Handlebars- Sakae SR Road Champion wrapped in vintage Serfas white perforated tape
Saddle- White Selle Italia Turbo, plenty of wear but still comfy
Tires- tubular Hutchinson Tempo 1 and Clement Super Condor. They are holding air, but should be inspected and reglued before use
Hubs- Shimano Dura Ace AX 32H (with original dust seals and skewers)
Rims- Araya Aero 2 rims look cool, but are for display only due to eyelet cracks. The bladed spokes and the AX hubs are excellent and ready to be built onto some new rims if you choose to ride it.
Chain- D.I.D. "L" chain, Japan
Freehub- 7 speed, 13-21
Cables and housing are original. Would recommend replacing brake cable housing for optimal performance.

Frame is 57cm center to center on the seat and top tube. Headtube is 6.5". Stand over is 32.5" as pictured.

This is one of the rarer models from the short aero bike era era. Very rare to find one in this condition with a full Dura Ace AX group. The bike is not a museum bike, it has been ridden. I have many more pics I'm happy to share. PM if you want specific pictures of anything.

I can likely ship to most international locations. Please email to discuss if possible and for an estimate. Shipping to USA 48 is $95 via FedEx ground, professionally packed and insured for purchase price.

$699

Re:

Indeed a very nice bike!
But i noticed sth. Isn't it -the one on seat tube- a Duraace EX decal? meaning a 7200 grouppo throughout on the bike it should be. Or am i counfused about 7200/7300 things?
Anyway, GLWS!

Re:

Thanks!
As far as I know, a Dura Ace AX decal was never made. The EX decal was used to refer to the AX group. Interesting to say the least.
That said, the bike has its original group so I'm pretty confident it all belongs together.
Lmk if any other questions

Re:

Fair enough! If i were there in US, i would snap this up from your hands. Surely not an ordinary frameset, and a full DA ax in sweet condition.
