1981 Raleigh Record Ace Frameset for Sale Worksop SBDU Built. 21 Inch. Full Reynolds 531 Including Chainstays, Seatstays and Forks. Ice Green Paintwork in really nice original condition. Decals all present albeit one RRA Script faded. Comes with Headset. All threads are in good condition no cracks. Frameset is straight. Some light marks and light corrosion in places around BB, Chainstays and Down Tube where a stand & pump was fitted would rate finish 8/10. If touched up 9.5/10 Will make a stunning bike. If it's an SBDU frame wouldn't it have such letters SBDU stamped on the Bottom Bracket ?

The SBDU was at Worksop until 1981. This Frameset was built there in 1981

Definitely not an SBDU built frame, it was built a Worksop as it has a W prefix frame number. Specialist Bicycle Development Unit built frames have an SB prefix frame number.

Pretty sure "W" continued in use after the physical move from Worksop. Not however suggesting that yours not built before the move.

Yes the W prefix was used after the move to Nottingham.
This Frameset has been confirmed as Worksop built.
