Yes, that does say 1980! The date code is EJ, so October 1980 to be exact.
Anyway, picked this up at the weekend New Old Stock!!!
Too early even for the Evans..........

another project maybe, or is building a bike around a front mech going too far?

Does anyone know when these were produced from/until?

I got one of those dx front mechs in a box of jumble last week, got me scratching my head as I did'nt know they had mechs on BMX's ?
