1979 Pinarello Record Special Restoration - Build up thread

Hey folks!

It is early 2019 and time for another project. So, I found this beautiful vintage Pinarello frame and got it pretty cheap. This week, I startet another complete build-up. First off: Getting rid of that blue color! So, what´s the plan? Building this beauty back to its absolute original condition including a 100% 1979 correct Pinarello coloring and grouping. So Campagnolo Nuovo Record + Super Record mix as stated in the catalogue.

Nice frame, looks like a Gino Milani built Pinarello, Dario Pegoretti's father in law.

Hi, You can tell by the forkcrown and lugwork. I own two Milani frames, one from 1977/78 and the other 1983/84. They have similar features as your Pinarello. Gino Milani was the main contractor for Pinarello in the 1970's to 90's
