Ah the sign of what I consider as an upgraded cafe stop. With your upgraded running gear it will be a pleasure to ride for many years. I am ever so slightly envious.

Beautiful looking bike, well done. My first proper bike at age 11 was a brand new Carlton Cobra, the year was 1967 and I'd just got a place at the local grammar school that was a three mile bike ride away. Had it the whole time I was at school, it was stolen after about four years but recovered with the rear derailleur broken and I had stopped talking to my father at that point so fixed it as cheaply as I could by just putting a fixed cog on the rear.

I bought a very similar fixie a year ago and rebuilt it as an homage to my old steed. Here it is attached.

Lovely paint job on yours, who did it for you. Is it powder or enamel?

Enjoy it!
