Dirt Disciple
Quite an interesting Raleigh bike here.
Hybrid avant-la-lettre
It is a Nottingham built 1975 Raleigh Tourist Mk II
It is very original, almost all parts are stamped by Raleigh, probably only the saddle was replaced.
Interesting is the frame, the lugs look exactly like a Carlton Grand Prix frame and it has the wrap over seatstays. It comes with 27" x 1 1/4 Rigida Superchromix wheels, Sturmey Archer large flange front hub, Sturmey Archer AW rear.
I have the original mudguards as well. The steel chaincase has some bits missing, but is functional and I left it on there as some people like to have a chaincase.
I have taken it for a spin, gears work fine, it is rideable but would benefit from a bit of TLC to make it a nice and special ride.
2 broken spokes rear wheel
brake cables and brake blocks
other saddle
tyres hold air, but are not safe
As I need space and funds for other projects: looking for £50+ collection in Milton Cambridge
