1960 Carpenter - first ride

Finally managed to put together this 1960 Carpenter - wanted a full Campagnolo build, a little bit of a showpiece, but also a rideable bike, hence long cage on the Record rear derailleur and large 28t sprocket combination. Few small adjustments to be made, but overall a very nice machine, light, responsive and easy to maneuver too. Would be nice if i was 1/2" larger, but will do as is.

So the VIP entrance is well deserved IMO 😀

That's a peach. And yes, that is a long cage!

Bit of a labour of love this one. Everything was a bit off the standard, so much faffing about was needed. Had to get extensions for Campaq calipers, even with 27" wheels - didn't notice that Gran sport pair already had one, so a hunt for a front took some time, got one from Poland after first one turned to have too short bolt. Costly they are. Bottom bracket adjustment ring, stem issues etc.etc. But glad how it turned out in the end.
