1958 Flying Scot! What should I hang from it? Build advice

I have been given a 1958 Flying Scot from family! It's been resprayed over its lifetime to keep it looking good, but in bright yellow for visability. And most of the parts have been replaced as and when needed, so it has been kept in tip-top condition.
I would like to get it back to as original condition as I can.

What colour schemes were used for them in 1958?

What componants should I hang from it? I've not seen, built or know anything about this period as yet, so all suggestions and advice gratefully recieved.
