Ok here is my 1955 James Fothergill 'le Grimpeur' top of the range model with hand cut lugs built in Liverpool.
Originally it was fixed/free but it was upgraded and resprayed in the 1970's by Bob Jacksons in Leeds.
It weighs in at a tad over 20lb, built from '531 butted' forks, stays & tubes.
Equipment is high end mid 70's stuff, so Suntour Cyclone gears, Dura-Ace cranks and brake levers, SR Royal stem, bars, seatpost, Suzue forged HF hubs, Gran Compe brakes.
It rides a treat and build quality is faultless.
