1950s/60 sprint rear wheel

• aluminium sprint rim (requires tubs, not clinchers)
  
  dh airlite annodised large flange flip flop hub
  
  40 spokes, tied and soldered, allegedly by reg harris' mechanic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reg_Harris

the hub runs smoothly (having been recently serviced) and the spokes are stiff, with no obvious deflection of the rim. you could put this on a bike and ride, although not with the perished tyre in the picture.

don't know, as no markings on the rim; it came as a spare with a pair of wheels that were identical bar the fact the rim was fiamme…

Looks like a 40 hole by the way which would tie in with the age BH Airlite range.
