1949 Hobbs Track & Path

As I was missing C Butler fixed after its move to my place in the south of Europe, this Hobbs caught my attention - roughly correct size (22") and what appears to be a decent respray. Picked it up earlier today and it is kind of mix bag of parts and condition. Frame number B9442, so Feb 1949.

Bootom bracket only had 5 ball in total, but it was easily removed and can easily be replaced. Stem and seat pin out, headset nicely greased ( and all balls present 😀). Saddle got a thin coat of Brooks Proofide treatment as was bit dry. Chairning unfortunately caused a nasty gash on rear stay that will need sorting out - a trip to Vaz brothers in near future - how on earth this happened I have no idea, missing bearing balls in bb perhaps?

Hubs are most likely original double fixed Gnutti Airone on what appears to be also original sprint rims - need to take pics of these, so someone may perhaps identify them.

Chatter Lea pedal * Groene Leeuw Luxe60 crankset/46t ring - any info on these. Was hoping to get it up and running in a day or two, but not sure I want to risk rear stay to give way under me. Lovely lug work and lining too.
