whats that crank in the background? it looks massive!

1960's Alfa Romeo. Good reminder, that needs dropping off for Nitriding and a polish.

Paint job looking lush, have you managed to get a headbadge and the decals sorted?

Cheers you guys.

It won't be getting any decals but the headbadge is proving troublesome to find. They rarely turn up on eBay and the only source I have found is a chap who does repro ones by hand and they are $200+ shipping.
I found some cheapo 'Mountain Bike' tyres on fleabay today- a 2.3 sizing and the tread looks very similar to the old Uniroyal Nobby so bought a pair-£6 each, which ain't bad.
Still awaiting a few parts to arrive- bars and crankset. Bars are 26" BMX Cruiser bars (those Tiger bars are just too damn heavy!) and a nice TA Cyclotourist crankset with original decals. I have Nervar arms which are interchangable and said to be stronger as an option but I will see how I get on.
A big thanks to Mr Kawasaki this week for collecting and posting out a set of monster wheels for me. Rims are Weinman 2.125's on Mailard hubs and look bomb proof. Will really suit the bike I think.

Cheers

:D :D :D :D keeps getting better, how big are those tyres? I'm sure there was a custom headtube badge outfit inb the states that was pretty reasonable?

Looks great, how would you deal with chain tention- a tugnut or did they just tighten the bolt up very very tight
