It's a lovely frame, i think there's perhaps just a small market for the higher-end of 'newer' retro. I'm sure it'll sell with a bit of patience.
Personally, I'd have to sell off another bike to fund it, and I'd really want a disc mount if I were looking to do my unicorn build. I'm not even sure if the 2000 King Kahuna exists outside a brochure, so it might be a life-long dissappointment for me on that front.

The original price was a bargain, patience is the best bet, or ebay, if a few have the available funds could easily go over the £1k mark.
