I'm about to start a new retro build but have no idea what to start on. I have cranks (Cooks E) and V-brakes (XT) but nothing else. I want something around 94-97ish, ideally steel or titanium but without a ridiculous retro tax that some E-bayers have at present.
Must be solid, no cracks and decent paint, unless it's something like a well priced Yo in which case I'd be happy to respray.

I like the look of the Saracen Kili Elite for sale on here but know bugger all about them, I want something I can feel special on - it will be ridden but not thrashed.
Basically just wandering what people have stuffed away in their sheds they may want rid of
