That's not really good enough reason to split it, but every little helps, as they say...

If I can't sort myself out in the next day or two, I could go for the LX pods, cassette & chain, too; what size is the cassette?

Maybe your girl's just not into trials riding, she might enjoy riding more with a nice, light (cheapish to start with) XC bike...? Obviously I'm guessing wildly as I know nothing of your situation!

hi tintin the brakes have been dibb'd earlier by charlieboy sorry.

the cassette is 11-34 and the chain is hg-73- that came off her clockwork which she didnt seem keen on either lol

Fine by me - I managed a lash-up out of the parts box & with a little help from Dead Rats (I sort of dibbed the above, but not properly!). Just in case I was causing confusion by being half in the queue...
