Just say your named after your dad and he moved to Poland before you were born, happens all the time...............or is that the other way around :?

That's not so far fetched. I know a guy on another forum, about bothies, that told me about a girl student he met in Poland.
She had a recognisable Scottish surname so he asked her where it came from. Turns out her grandfather left Scotland in the 1930's to got to Spain to fight Franco and the Fascists, when they lost to the Fascists he moved to Russia but ended up fighting the Germans in WW2, he then settled in Poland at the end of the war. Amazing that he survived 10 years of war.
