10 retrobikes for £10k

A conversation over Christmas sparked this thought. If you had £10k to spend on retro MTBs, what would you buy? :xmas-big-grin:

It's actually surprisingly difficult to answer. It's got to be 10 bikes, so you can't just plonk a load of cash on a couple of top end rigs. So, how do you balance it? And buying two top end rigs and 8 scrap Apollo BSOs is cheating

I have a few thoughts (with some possibly optimistic prices). Will post up shortly...

Here's my starter for 10:

1. Pace RC200 F6 (£1000) *
2. GT Zaskar LE, XT with Judy DH (£500)
3. GT LTS 1995 (£900)
4. Marin Pine Mountain 95 (£200)
5. Yeti ARC (£1800)
6. Fat Chance Ti (£2500)
7. Mountain Cycles San Andreas (£1800)
8. Kona Explosif (£450)
9. Orange P7 1995/6 (£250) *
10. Proflex Animal or 856 (£600)

* Already have these. Only 8 more to go (if you don't count the Boy's Zaskar)…

Some really tough choices. Had to decide whether I could fit in a Merlin or Litespeed. No Foes, STS, Funk or Vit T/T2 either.

Current or BITD pricing?

Re:

Crikey, that's a tough question.

Not sure I could list ten, but if I had that kind of dough there would certainly be a Yeti FRO and a klunker on the list.
