I'd guess it's a rebadged Tange?
Tange still offer a choice of alloy Threaded headsets, inc cartridge bearings if you like .

If so, you're right, a new (yet un-badged) Tange would be cheaper - but might upset the OP's OCD if it's not from the right decade! It could well do that to me!

I like Stronglight headsets too - there's one on Ebay - a meatier-looking thing
