1" Tange headset bearings question

Having a little bit of an issue with the 1" threaded tange headset I'm fitting to the Klunker. Bought it 2nd hand in good nick but without bearings. So bought 2 standard 1" bearing cages with bearings. No problem with the bottom one ( although the little plastic seal doesn't fit. But the upper bearing cage seems too large. It's 37mm external diameter but the bearing cup seems to be 36 to 36.5mm. Does anybody know what size cages I need?

I’d be tempted to go with *oof* loose balls rather than caged, adding enough to fill the cup without the cage in. Then it doesn’t matter what size the cage should be.

I was thinking the same thing, just need to work out what size to use.

Probably 5/32” for a headset.
