1 inch threaded conversion to 1/ 1/8th?

Is there any way this can be done? Frustrating the hell out of me as I have a lovely alloy frame and fork and would like some newer carbon forks.

Only thing is, 1 inch forks are mega money or the ones which are available have a steerer which is too short. I need >210mm.

I thought it would be a simple headset converter but, lamentably no.

Any help? Or, sell the frame and fork and move on.

Re:

I don't think the 1" 1/8 steerer will it in the 1" head tube

you could buy some with a short steeerer an use a steerer extension or a zero stack head set to give you more steerer

For MTB, Exotic were stocking 1" steerer forks, not sure if they still do.

For road, Wiggle had some at around £160 which is reasonable.

Wowzers!!! I'd like to know what your 'unreasonable' amount is!!!

All I meant was that it seems to be the going rate! There is not much choice of 1" forks around.
