1" ahead or threaded steerer. Also 1" 1/8 to 1" collar for steerer for pace forks please. If anyone has has ahead steerer then I'd be looking for an ahead stem too.

Many thanks in advance

Andy

I have a pace 1" steerer, pretty sure it's steel, so could even have thread cut into it. I also have a 1"--> 1-1/8" steerer collar. wht length steerer are you looking for, overall?

I'd have to dig them out tho.

Ermmm, il have to measure it when I get home. What is the best place to measure from/to? I'm pretty sure it's only short tho as it's a small frame.

If you've got a steerer tube that's already fitted to some forks on your bike, just measure the overall length of that.

I don't have any pace forks to help you out with that, only the steerer. And I don't know how deep the crown would be on your pace forks.

Only other thing I can think, is, measure your fork crown height, plus the headset stack heaight, plus the steerer tube of the frame and the height of the clamp part of your stem... :)

I tink il measure overall length of old steerer on old forks :) sounds much easier haha. Would I need a different headset for ahead stem?

If your current headset is threaded yes, you'll need an unthreaded (or ahead in laymans terms) headset. They can range from £10 to £100 depending on the quality of the headset you want...

I've got one as part of my Rourke frameset sale. If someone just buys the frame then it'll be available. It's a Chris king and be looking around the £60 mark for it...

It's 150mm from bottom of crown to top of steerer. Although this will need to be slightly longer if it's ahead I'm thinking?

Yeah, always good to allow 30mm or so for the stem clamp part.

You can always add a spacer (under or above the stem, depending on your riding position) it it's too long, but if it's too short, it's a lot harder... ;)
