Thanks Russell. Hopefull this one will be a bit quicker than the Yeti. I'm quite pleased with how quick it's coming along so far.

Started to shape the layers a bit before the first lot of filler.
The first lot of filler. Car body filler. I bloody love this stuff. I must have used tons of it in my lifetime, but never on a car body.
Fill, sand, repeat.
It's beginning to look a bit fork crownish now.

Progress made during today's lunch hour.
Brass tube for sliders. The white ring at the top is to get the right diameter for the flared bit around the wiper seal. After the taper is built up with filler, this ring will be swapped for a notched one that helps locate the arch.
Filled and turned.

The story so far.
I'll have to turn the conical bit at the bottom of the legs before I can stick the arch in. Hope to get that done tomorrow. Then dropouts and disc mount, the jig it's sat in already has locators for those. Fingers crossed for forks by the weekend...

I'm assuming the fork will be fully functional, wondering about how you scale "negative air" down to 1:4.
Do you get right down to the molecules of O²and N?

Going by Standard Atomic Weight, oxygen at 1:4 is helium. Helium is a little heavy for scale nitrogen, but I reserve the right to use model-makers license on that one.

Bit of a backwards step...
I'd forgotten to profile the back of the arch where it sits around the stanchions.
A quick adjustment to the artwork, and back on the laser resulted in this...
