‘89 Fisher HK2?

At £30 and a ten minute drive away I couldn’t let this one go…

In the Gumtree advert you can see Fisher Bulge bars and just make out the yellow Fisher logo on the saddle. Aside from the paint job it looked to be a totally original late ‘80s Fisher.

Picked it up this morning, ignoring the poor maintenance I’m pleasantly surprised. Complete Deore group set dates it to 1989, all original apart from a bit of dodgy seatpost shimming and the paint.

Paint looks to have been done professionally and with a clean up, most of the original parts are useable.

Anyone shed any light on the model? Given the group and the original blue paint, I’m thinking 1989 Fisher HK2?

Biopace!😬
Looks like the only thing they've ever done to it is put a set of Schwalbes on there.
I wonder why they chose a yellow zéfal bottle cage?🤔

Nice score.

What are you doing with it, cleaning and riding or stripping?

As a cynical capitalist I bought it to strip but it’s soooo original that the emotional Retrobiker in me has already become quite attached to it! I hate seeing good original bikes broken up!

It’s an 18” frame, not 21” so it turns out it fits me.

N+1 it is then!

Will certainly look nice with a bit of time and effort.
