Dave hadn't realised that the quills were quill stems (MTB) sorry no use to me unfortunately.Thanks anyway

Peanut - it's a quill adaptor but when I took the photo it had a stem fitted. You could fit any 1 1/8" ahead stem to it - road or MTB.
