‘95 Trek Singletrack 950, 18”, practically NOS condition.

Retro Newbie
I have a gorgeous Trek Singletrack 950, 18” frame, green/purple fade paint, STX RC group, completely stock, and in fact looks to have never actually been ridden. It was obviously stored indoors and well protected for the last 24 years. I even have the original owners manual.

This is 99.9% cherry. In fact, it’s too cherry for me. It’s about as close to NOS as I can imagine. I’m not a collector. I was looking for a bike to ride but after picking it up and getting a closer look, I’d feel guilty even riding it around the block.

I’d like to sell it to fund another bike project but have no idea what it would be worth for a collector. Can anyone give me a ballpark? Located in USA. Thanks.

Re:

Wow! That's in amazing condition. Unfortunately, I don't think it's especially collectable because it's not especially rare and it's not top of the range. However, it was/is still a good bike and it might be very much sought after by someone who either had or wanted one in their youth. What you might get for it, then, is probably going to be hit or miss, depending on whether you attract the attention of such a buyer. Offering postage would probably help.

I think eBay will be your friend here: the market can determine the price. Perhaps try an auction with $120 starting bid and see where it goes from there. I would hope that you'd get a fair bit more but that would depend on the market at the time of sale.
