£400 - £500 to spend

tend to see alot of the Scotts in bigger sizes on ebay, these are good, my mate who is a taller gent has a high end Scott hardtail and loves it

Dammit this is like work invading my relaxing time :LOL:

Do the research ! find out exactly what bits are on each , what lengths and angles they have and most of all what fits and feels the best .

Im 6'5" and go more on TT length - A long seatpost is fine, but a bike with too short a reach and a long stem will handle like a drunk pig...

A++++++++

It's about time roadies took back their ridiculous idea of sizing a bike .

And why ask a retro site whats best to buy new ?

I have done plenty of research, i'm just asking if anyone has direct experience of these bikes.

As for the retro, I posted it if the off topic section "forum for discussing new school bikes"

:)

I know it's a dirty word but I've just been in Halfords and seen a brand new Voodoo Wanga for £400!!! Nice steel frame (think Kona geometry) Hayes hydro discs (Nines IIRC), LX/XT groupset, that's a lot of bike for the money, worth checking out...?

I spoke to guy in Halfords and they're clearing the decks of Voodoo bikes as they haven't been big sellers and they're stopping stocking them so bargains ahoy!

Nearly brought the Bokor last year myself, looked really good for the money and the Wanga is probably the next model up. You could see if they have any of the '08 Kula's left as they should be down at around the same price and I love mine.

I've had a look on the website and there is no sign of any Kona's?!
