    Beautiful Potts

You can lock up the wheels with the Avid Ultimate V brakes, so powerful enough for me. I had mechanical discs once with custom solid stainless steel cable outers (no compression) and power was good, modulation ok but constant adjusting, disc rubbing and pad wear was a pain. Compared to the discs...

2009 Jeff Jones 3D Spaceframe Ti

Those yellow and red bits of tape were put on there just to mark where to fit the gear shifters when first getting it out of the box.

2009 Jeff Jones 3D Spaceframe Ti

new Jones Hi mbkot, thanks for the get well message. Rather than give on ever riding again I am taking time out to do all the things I can to help the situation and see if can turn things around. Hey Saltman, good meeting with you, although it was difficult selling the bike so prematurely I'm...

JONES Titanium SpaceFrame 23” & Fat Truss (circa 2010)

jones mudguards Hi mbkot, the Jones Blog pictures of my bike show his own saddle and post, I bought a complete bike except the seat/post. He just fitted them for the pics. The guards would be too flexy and rub the tyres without the stiffening brackets Jeff made, very precisely made and well...

JONES Titanium SpaceFrame 23” & Fat Truss (circa 2010)

XCDave, thanks for the link, and yes I've tried this kind of thing, especially applied to road bike to an obsessive degree. Its a worthwhile thing to do but although I can work around the damage on my lower back quite well my kneecaps simply do not have a proper groove to run in (Trochlea...

JONES Titanium SpaceFrame 23” & Fat Truss (circa 2010)

The Jones is usually used with gears, hence the front mech and shifter left in place while trying out the single gear. For me suspension on a bike did nothing for any back issues I've had, bumps from the ground are not the problem, it is the position my lower spine is forced to adopt using any...

How can you knock it until you've tried it. So many negative waves so late in the day, yawn.

JONES Titanium SpaceFrame 23” & Fat Truss (circa 2010)

The saddle is a Proust 3.3, it swivels to counter any initial tendancy to fall forward. The theory behind it is sound although hard to describe, for me it was worth trying as I had different problems with lower back and knees. the seat took me a long time to get used to but was worth it.

JONES Titanium SpaceFrame 23” & Fat Truss (circa 2010)

Jones bike design The logic behind the Jones Spaceframe design really appealed to me, enough to sell up some great bikes to get one. Fortunately they perform just as described on the website which made a nice change to the slick marketing BS you read so much. I've got suckered in wanting to...
