Old Skool Adverts--- Got a Favorite, Post it.

Antonio Colombo is a very cool guy. Back in the day (late 80's thru 90's) we talked a lot at the Interbike & Eurobike party's. He really cared about cycling and dug all the small American companies n (like mine). Very different from Valentino Campagnolo who only cared about yachting.

    Cook Bros Racing Crank Hierarchy/ID

Early 1990 the E's had been designed and the first prototypes tested in and around Laguna Canyon ( by RADS members) and down in Baja Norte, Mexico (out of view of the SoCal MTB craze at the time). Once the manufacturing tooling was developed (complicated), they were first brought public at the...

Crank ID help - Cook Bros.?

Yeah! Topline was the name of the company. I just remember that it was the fathers CNC "job shop" and his 2 sons strutted around like MTB rockstars (more like little A-holes). They also made Graftons second version cranks and CQP'S (Gary Cook) last attempt (and quick failure) to survive in the...

    Cook Design project

I believe the correct name is Cook Designs. It was made by Craig Cook, the younger brother of the famous Cook Bros. Racing. Craig was the technical "super star" of the 2 brothers (master TIG welder, machinist, & mechanical designer). You truly have a very rare collectable bicycle there!

I got these from Mert a couple of decades ago then machined new end pieces so that they could take 29" wheels. A word of praise for Mert: I first met him in the early 80's and was amazed by what a "down to earth" easy going and remarkably unassuming guy he was, given his HUGE career as a flat...

    The new 26” Cruiser/BMX thread

I also gave "the Bitch" a sponge bath. But rather than wax, I am going to strip her down and repaint the frame and anodize some of her "naughty bits".

This is Boomer (RIP) protecting my "overland camper" down in Mexico. We usually just left the keys in the ignition when shopping or eating in a restaurant. Currently we are on our 4th Bouv named Oly.
