Singletrackworld magazines; from Issue 16 (2004) to present day... yours if you want them!

I've been a Singletrackworld subscriber since 2004 and have been hoarding them all since but the time has come to let go of my 26 x 1.95 past and free up some bookshelf space If you want them, they are yours for nowt but you'll need to collect (near St Andrews, Fife) and you'll need to bring...

I'm up for this; sounds more like a 'gravel' ride..?

Pitmedden “night” ride - Sat 27th November - Postponed due to Arwen

Although Pitmedden is only half an hour away for me there's plenty local roads blocked by fallen trees so makes perfect sense to postpone. Theres even a slim chance my Orbea Laufey might arrive for the postponed ride!

Ah, didn't realise there was a separate discussion! Yes, makes perfect sense.

What's the plan for later this afternoon at Pitmedden?

That's interesting to know! From reviews I'd thought it perhaps a bit heavy for helmet mounting?

That's really kind, thank you. I've ordered two lights from Halfords and they're on the way already! I've gone for a 1600 lumens for the handlebars and a 500 lumens for helmet. Using the British Cycling discount and an employer discount for vouchers I've paid only £81!

Hope you do! In fact, I think I will come along; will get some lights and just take the cross-country hardtail.

Won't be along at the end of the month, sadly... have just been informed that the Orbea Laufey I'd hoped to have by now is delayed yet again and I'll be lucky if I get to give it to myself as a Christmas present. Pitmedden isn't the place for a gravel bike, rigid fat bike - or, as I very...

You'll be pleased to hear that my arsenal of jokes is very limited... that one joke pretty much depleted it!

No, not at all! If I recall we all ended up contributing to that discussion; in fact, its my arse that most of all this morning... It was indeed a good ride, and I had a great day out - thanks again for the soup at the end; needed it to get me home!

Sorry it won't be a pretty one; at least the beard and helmet will cover most of it! 😁

Thanks, @clubby - yes, I'll (tentatively!) say yes to coming along thank you! Relaxed pace gravel bike ride sounds ideal as I haven't been out on a while and looking at the OS map for the area it doesn't look like there's any large hills! :p Please do message me the start point. 👍

Where are you? (Project Management, bless her wee cotton socks, is going down with a heavy cold so I won't commit to anything as yet - just in case..!)

Many thanks for the thought but it looks like I'm heading to Pitmedden on Sunday with a mate! Enjoy.

I'm up for that on the 23rd, looks good! If anyone ever fancies a wee ride around the Largoward and coastal end of Fife anytime sooner I'd be delighted to show them, even just one or two folk on an ad-hoc basis; it'd be good incentive for me to get out too - free most weekends. Perfect for...

    Loch Katrine Loop

Anyway, moving on... sometime I'll download the photos and upload them here as it looks like the Retrobike forum has its own image hosting; that way they'll be here for anyone else that's curious about the south side of Loch Katrine - and they can see what the terrain is like.

It's more the fact that you posted it here without prior permission that irked me; you just told me you were doing it and assumed I wouldn't mind. I always link to individual images anonymously when I share them. You'd be well and truly fubared carrying an ebike up or down the bealach then...
