thought i'd give a cancer operation update

The 3M adhesive on some dressings brings my skin out in blisters. Perhaps try changing the brand? You could do without that discomfort.

    Judy damper - rebuild possible?

I can't make out if it's grease or scoring on the shaft. If the shaft is scored, it's toast as the seal will never seal on it.

    NOS Ringle hubs

New ~30-year old parts at the original 1990's RRP is pretty damn reasonable. Take a look: https://www.kleinspainted.com/--one-stop-klein-shop.html https://bicyclist.cc/?s=ringle&post_type=product

    Silverfish 1993 Manitou FS

Extremely, extremely lovely. And as far as I've found, Onza pedals have served me fine for 30-years and are easy to rebuild. And they have been very kind to my damaged knees (which are also very 90's style fragile and crack-tastic).

    For Sale NOS Ringle hubs

Ok folks, over the last little while I've had quite a few people ask me if I have any more NOS Ringlé hubs. What with one thing and another, and being busy with work, I haven't really been able to efficiently respond to people. I have however, on slow time, had a bit of a dig as to what I...

    GSXR750 SRAD needs some TLC

Mmmm, SRAD, one of my most favourite bikes I ever had. Kept mine for 10-years and loved it. FWIW, I appreciate you're on a trajectory, but the six-pots are very rebuildable. Put the four-pots on and get riding, that's important. But for a nice fun therapeutic quiet-time job, the six-pots only...

1989 (i think) Muddy Fox Seeker! the prodigal bike returns!

Oh man, that's a shame, BUT as they've been completed superbly, I think victory has been clutched from the jaws of defeat!

1989 (i think) Muddy Fox Seeker! the prodigal bike returns!

Schweet, love this 🍿 Loved the Seeker. Loved the name. Loved the colour. Even love the song. But with a U-brake too, that's off the charts. Lovely lot of original parts in there. Shame to lose the MFX tyres, but understand if they're a bit crispy.

90s GT - seat post sizing issues

Team Avalanche in Prestige Concept was a 27.0. If measuring 26.9, as above, it's got crimped slightly. Original post was a Tioga IIRC

GT Team Avalanche BB width for 1x commuter

Nope. Tange prestige concept. Ovalised down and seat tubes (a bit like Columbus Max). The BB shell with was one of the components that stopped it having full XT. M730 BB wasn't available in a 73mm shell width. As others have said, crank will dictate. Phil B is right on the money. You'd think...

The *NOT BORING!* Hi-Fi faff chat and sales

Thanks for the reply Ren, Going into more detail, oddly enough the stereo is ok, just the remote is dead. I've wrested the remote a few times, re-soldering tracks, but now it's just a non-starter. From googling, it seems that the model isn't really a Hitachi, but a rebadged something that...

The *NOT BORING!* Hi-Fi faff chat and sales

Not sure if this is the right place. Bedroom mini-system has bitten the dust. Nice little Hitachi Tuner and CD setup that sits on a nice glass plinth so it looks ok needs replacing. Any advice or recommendations? Must be remote and have a clock to wake me up by! All advice appreciated, even...
