    Alpinestars 1 1/4 Aluminium Fork

Seems I'm out of luck this time - or not patient enough : I've found a lot of complete Almegas and Chromegas bikes but they all got steel forks, and I do not want to buy another whole Almega just for the fork. Is there no one, even with a a cracked frame that doesnt need the the fork...

    Alpinestars 1 1/4 Aluminium Fork

I'm looking for an Aluminium Alpinestars Fork. Color doesn't matter. Will get a repaint anyway. A Chro-Mo Version is lying around here, so no need for those. I guess they were all with this special 1 1/4 threaded shaft with a non-threaded end. Fell free to offer any Aluminium versions, even if...

    1 1/4 quill to 1 1/8 ahead adapter (like Nitto MTC-03)

Looking for an adapter to use 1-1/8'' ahead stems on 1-1/4'' forks. The Nitto MTC-03 is one such adapter. Basically it's like a 1-1/4'' quill stem wihout the stem extension - just a straight 28.6mm Diameter shaft. Bug anything that does the job is welcomed.

1 1/4'' threaded headset [got it. Thanks to all offers]

I'm looking for a 1 1/4 threaded headset. Subtle or no color preferred (as in silver, black, white) Anything that works and doesn't look too bad is fine for me, so new or like new is just an extra. As I'm lingering around in Germany, postage to Germany is part of the deal :)...

    Brodie Rodie 1996

Just out of curiosity, can you make take a photo of the handlebar ends? Where you put the plugs in. It looks like you wrapped the bar tap so it is thicker there =) I know it's a bit tricky, but the beginning and the end are the places where you make the most mistakes and learn the most...

The Introduce Yourself Here Thread III

Hail to the Retro-Riders! posted some bits already on the borad, but the obligatorial introduction shouldn't be left out. Name's michael, riding bikes, that is MTBs since the mid 90s. Being born in the early 80s and raised in east germany I didn't got the opportunity to ride the real deal...

    Brodie Rodie 1996

I just judged by the looks. That may have been my mistake. I know, that 120+- mm in stem size is quite normal on todays roadies. But Inigo Montoya pointed out that his bar has quite a large reach. That distorts the look and makes the stem look even longer to me. And if you look at the pro bikes...

    Brodie Rodie 1996

I'll use a shorter stem if i were you. It look like there's a lot (too much?) weight on the front of the bike. Compared to all the thing's i've built up with drop bars, i think you either used ad too small frame or you're sitting on it way to strechted. But it it fit's, it's ok. It just looks...

    Univega Alpina 506 date?

I liked the long "racy" geometry on my alipna 600 very much. But sadly the frame broke at the connection from dropout to chainstay. Had it replaced under warranty with a 2000 Alumimum Alpina 570 (wich was the best model you could get with 1 1/8 steertub, the 590 had the Concept Headshock rip-off...
