    Thumbie set up

Apparently in the advert they covered both options - parallel to the floor for right hand and in line with brake levers for left hand. :)

Unusal S shaped bike on FB Market Place

If you apply heat and then pull from both sides, you can shape it any way you want, actually even enlarge it.

    Crazy Chesini

Reminds me Hooger Booger Patrol with similar feature - not really sure if there were more trial bikes like that? https://fotos.mtb-news.de/p/2574896

    Retrobike Touring.

Haha been bikepacking with people who eventually just leaned their custom made steel modern gravel bikes against a tree for the night and were like "it will probably wake us if anyone walks around". I personally carry u-lock everywhere, but also, I use racks and all my camping gear is heavy...

    Can You Identify This Frame?

Cantilever hanger reminds me of my MS Racing (which is actually the glued Alu/Crmo), but didn't find exact frame matching yours.

    NIB '97 Karakoram in Germany

That is actually a wanted ad, and yep, Kleinanzeigen, which is the Gumtree-like site. It always confused me, when it was called ebay-kleinanzeigen! .)

    Araya Rims

RM20 or RM25? Catalogues are online, I always thought the RM ones are rather nice, nicer than CV 7 and such, but not really sure where I got it from.) https://www.oldschoolracing.ch/archiv/araya/ https://web.archive.org/web/20190629122659/https://www.araya-kk.co.jp/rim/catalog.html

    Good Modern STEEL MTB Bikes

(Sorry for thread hijack) https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/work-bikes.2519/post-3416673 The trailer there is Donkey Trailers, cheaper than Surly (or bigger for the same price), still feels nothing special and thought it might be easier to just DIY make it. Not pleasant to ride if loaded more...

Speed Project Lite // dirt-drop build

Ooh, right, now I get it - my mind somehow excluded this option as very unlikely at first.)

Speed Project Lite // dirt-drop build

Love this, the detailed pictures are awesome. Just not sure about the BB, the difference between ITA and BSA BB is not only the width of the cage, but also different diameter of the cups and different side threading on the drive side, so the BB is probably BSA standard (even though Campagnolo)...

What bike do I have ? Scott Elite Racing steel bike

Apart from paint and decals, it quite reminds me of Scott, the Windriver and Boulder models from 1990. This one, I mean: https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/1990-scott-windriver-18.250654/

Marin "team issue" , Model year & value?

I like the colour, but as Matttymm said, parts are (mostly) <1993, decals are later version, and the colour doesn't match. Would just point out that it might be good to check if the frame is OK, the angle of the fork in the first picture doesn't look right to me. It quite likely might be the...

    Work bikes

I'll just leave this here, trailer is not mine and is super useful, though could use more stable bike than my work bike for this.

    BB help! odd one?

Park Tool BBT-4? It could be same as tool for sealed sq Campagnolo BBs, so good idea with the LBSs - they should have it. Or the tool, is not expensive, just make sure it really fits, I'm not sure.

Has anyone built a Gravel bike using a retro frame

From what I've tried, it was that road shifters had less pull than mtb mechs, so the case of Deore shifters with road FD should be fine, unlike road STIs with mtb FD - it just doesn't reach the outer ring, doesn't pull the cable enough to make it. Anyway, have tried several times, and the safe...

BB in Alpinestars Almega DX 1991.

... and it is supposed to be quite close to the chainstays, the marks on them shouldn't be from cranks, but shoes - at least on my 1992, it is. Anyway, to see whether it is BSA or not, you can meassure it without dismantling (and yes, it is BSA). And the length of the BB depends on used...

    930 -- frankenbike?

A Trek 9xx series is a nice build for any purpose, I personally wouldn't powdercoat it, the colour combo is nice. And the thing with studs happens! At least to me quite regularly, sometimes the brake sticks to the stud better than the stud to the fork. Bit of WD40 here and tiny bit of glue there...

Mantis XCR-EC frame, NOS Haro fluoro frame, international shipping available

Haha sorry for misunderstanding, by circumstances I meant myself being at about N+6 with unfinished builds, not ebay. :) Glad to see the photos though, lovely!

Mantis XCR-EC frame, NOS Haro fluoro frame, international shipping available

I tried the search, also tried to find the frames by keywords before, it is probably the country issue (Czech Republic) and it is totally understandable. :) No need to change the settings for me, circumstances won't let me buy another bike now, love the look of fluoro Haros though!
