Re:
I know it's not the whole "doing it yourself" vibe, but this guy is awesome - he's removed a post for me and left the frame lovely and smooth inside. Saved me a load of hassle.

(and no, I'm not on commission!)
Selling these wheels that have been knocking around my workshop for far too long. I was saving them for a project that will never happen!
They came from a Kona that probably only covered 300 miles in its lifetime, mostly on the road.
The hubs have been stripped and repacked a couple of times...
Just to say that I'm flogging some bits on the Bay. Highlight is a pair of pretty mint Deore LX (ST-M563) rapidfire shifter & brake units ('94 or '95, not sure which) as well as a few other bits.
Trying to raise some money for a new frame so if you fancy it, take a look.
Got some more bits...
I've got a couple of half-mechs that I'm looking to cobble together to make one whole mech (waste not, want not) but I'm having trouble finding some bog-standard jockey wheel bolts.
I've hit eBay and the alloy ones are super-expensive and mostly have countersunk heads.
Can anyone supply me...
I'm about to move from the sprawling metropolis of Cheltenham to the southern edge of the Brecon Beacons (reasonably central, near Penycae). I'm really excited about all the new riding but could do with hooking up with a few local riders to get some local knowledge and also so I get to know a...
I am loving this build.
I am seriously jealous though. Where I ride we have a bit of trail called ProFlex Alley. This is because back in the day, when we all rode fully rigid (remember?), this particularly bumpy trail made us all crave the comfort of a ProFlex.
None of us ever got one but...
I can offer no advice on what their view is of retro bikes etc. but I'm insured through Nationwide (Building Society) and have made 2 hassle free claims in the last 4 years. They have never queried any part of my claims and have offered great service meaning that I had replacement bikes within a...
Not much to write really apart from I started chucking the bits back together. The BB shell needed some hardcore wirebrush action before it would take the new bottom bracket but it's in now.
Then I just threw on the mechs (massive thanks to Iwasgoodonce for the vital bit for my rear...
Wotcha
I'm after some brake levers to compliment my 1992 Eldridge Grade. I've bought some Deore thumbies so need some levers to go with them.
So, what've you got? I'm after something in good condition but not too pricey.
Show me the levers!
I think you are right there. I remember thinking it would be fun to see if you could get one burning like we did with Magnesium ribbon at school BITD!
I have vivid memories of a guy near me having a flat purple one and me being insanely jealous!
