    I take possession of this bike on Monday next. A re-spray with no decals, but I have only ever seen these dropouts, fork ends and fork crown on Holdsworth Grubbs and C.B.'s. The number, 2793, including its location, font and font-size seem to indicate C.B. It has Nervex Legere #45 lugs...

    Re: Yes, this has the cast (rounded) fork crown and the lamp bracket boss, but it is not newer than 63 because Grubb discontinued the Nervex and went to Prugnat lugs in '64. Maybe what I was seeing is not a seam, but something other. Thanks for your replies. It helps me get a little closer.

    Re: Would you say, then, that there is a possibility that this frame (which came with no headbadge and a single, misplaced decal) is not a Grubb? I saw the seam inside the seattube, and felt the one inside the downtube when the b.b. was off and I reached a finger inside.
