Good effort! 8-) It won't always be like this, but I had the parts knocking about, and the urge was strong, so until I gather all the parts for a correct build, I'll ride the bejesus out of it! Or build some 650b rim brake wheels and adapt some canti's!

Since photobucket went pear-shaped for normal posting, I'm rubbish at getting anything else to work.....I think Google will be the answer for me, when I work it out......I'm an old Luddite! I'll get a couple of pictures of the Konas when I'm down my mums and my sister's next.....

I tried imgur, but my old iPad struggles with it....I'm hoping to get a new iPad soon (when I can get my son to pay for his own mobile!) I've got 15 other complete bikes, plus a few frames and a load of parts, but most are vintage road ....my other old Konas I've given to family members....I...

Wow! Sorry about pop up stuff....I thought it was too good to be true Since photobucket has gone the way of the pear, I've struggled to post pics on forums......I'm on an iPad, so I've never had pop ups.

1995 Marin Team Titanium parts bin special....sorry purists!

Re: Wow....a shit load of views, but not even one comment! :D It must have really annoyed the purists! I could do a period correct build, using everything a minted chap in 1995 would have used, and it turn out like every other retro MTB......but I don't want to,bright now. Instead, I've used...

    1992 Marin Team Issue

At the end of the day, it's original, right? And it's only original once. By all means, take some tin foil, add a squirt of wd40 or GT85 or similar, and work it baby! But, it's original........embrace it!

Esoteric rubber? Never seen one before........Marin Lite

Re: Good work! I work on the basis that if I get it cheap, I pass it on cheap.....it's what this type of forum should be all about

1995 Marin Team Titanium parts bin special....sorry purists!

I know it's not going to be everyone's cup of cha, but it's literally cost me next to nothing to put together. The frame was picked up from the council tip, some parts very cheap from a friend who broke his modern carbon thing and split it, and the rest from my parts bin....apart from the...

1995 Marin team ti (purists look away!

Ok, so no puppies were harmed in the making of this.... I picked the frame up from the tip, and used spare parts to build it.....it's something I always wanted and I love it to bits already! (Photos when I work out how to resize on iPhone!)

Good work Shaun! What a great story :0) I've only just seen this for sale, and when I saw it was £100, I thought 'bargain', then when the story unfolds, it ends perfectly! Now we need to help the chap get some proper decals sourced!

Mercian? Please help identify this frame

Well done, congratulations, have a jam sandwich. It's not only lug identification you learnt in those 50 years plus, is it? You also managed to perfect condescension on Internet forums. I could well be wrong, it has happened before on occasion, but any input I put on here normally would aim to...
