Not too sure if you can braze Aluminium? Yep, that broken part on the shifter could be a pain to replace. I suppose you'd just have to get a whole new lever set up, unless you get lucky and someone has one in their parts bin!

Hi, I'm new here and was hoping I could ask for a little advice. I've just stripped down a '81 Nuovo rear derailleur and noticed a hairline crack in the cage - where it screws into the spring holder body (not sure of the correct term) - but I just wanted to know if it'll hold up to riding, or...

Re: Vittoria Pave are great, can be had for £35/40 on ebay etc. Lovely ride, very grippy, but quite soft compound so they wear fairly quickly. Running mine at about 85psi in the wet (I'm 70kg).
