Add the Brazed on front derailleur hanger, top tube housing guides, and recessed brake calliper bolts to that observation. It's a lot newer than 1979. Without looking up old catalogues I'd say that it's late 80s or even newer. Definitely a lot newer than 1979.

V nice bike. I'd be amazed if it were 1979 though. Fork crown doesn't look 70s to me.

I need a pair of 1990/1991 cannondale pepperoni forks - 1 inch steerer. Steerer needs to be 150 mm long +, Dropouts and threads in good condition. Colour doesn't matter. What could you have ? :wink:

I should have said 1" 1991 Pepperonis because they were manufactured in the very end of 1990 for the 1991 bikes. The ones which I'm looking for are exactly like your grey/silver ones.. All the best with your build! If you do happen to come across any forks like those please let me know, thanks
