The route was great, really enjoyed the gravel parts (but then I ride CX/Gravel a lot). Totally missed the first feed stop, never saw a sign for it. The climb to Hawkshead was alright but got to Wray's castle 10 minutes before the checkpoint guy and had to wait around. Climb to Graythwaite...

My lowest gear is 43/22, am I doomed?

No chance from me at those prices. Probably plan my own heroic route round the Scottish Borders for the same weekend with a few pub food stops and have a 1 man festival ;)

My brother drilliumed a sturmey archer sprocket for me as it was such an ugly lump, even all those holes in steel only saved 15g ish
