Ok cool...starting wonder if my dream retro pace forks are worth it, just rebuilt the rock shox and they're fine now..pace do feel silky smooth though! Also I noted there is no slot in the steerer tube to take the lock washer is this normal?

...mine has been on there for the best part of 20 years though...

Guys, Anyone know if the plastic top caps in my old rock shox indy xc can be replaced with metal ones? I've rounded the plastics ones terribly. Anything modern fit them? Let me know Cheers Simon
