Don't forget that using grease on threads will affect the torque of the fastener. I.E. it reduces friction meaning that if you tighten it to 10Nm, it will not be as secure as a dry 10Nm. If you know what I mean. I know what I mean but it's trying to get it over :lol:

SOme people are very possesive of their car to the point of paranoia, I can understand it as apart from your house it is often the most expensive possesion you have. It's a bit like knocking a bike over, it's metal and can take it but would you want yours knocked over?

Agreed. I would rather hold a driver up for all of 5, maybe 10 seconds and be alive than be dead but happy in the knowledge he was not delayed at all.
