    maybe a silly one, but as in keeping with the retro bike feel, how likely is it to get hold of a retro chain, is this something most people don't fuss over and just to buy a good modern chain is important, as i want to ride this retro mtb a lot. I'm going to be running a 7 speed shimano cassett...

    Pace 1994 RC35XCS 1" Crown

    Looking for a 1" crown for my Pace sus forks. They are the older type so steerer tube cannot be adapted to fit.

    thanks for the reply, just got off the phone to pace, and they seem to think the same, that i'd need a new crown. They're checking if they have one in stock. Bit frustrated with them, as they didn't mention this when i purchased the parts, otherwise i'd of bought it all at the same time! Grr :x

    I've bought some RC35 Forks, that have a 1-1/8 steerer tube at the moment, I ordered from Pace the 1" steerer and they also sent a 1" to 1-1/8 space, I've taken parts to my LBS to have the steerer tube cut and a headset removed and a new headset fitted, they have now said that the 1" steerer...

    thanks for your help guys, i've ended up buying a Pace RC35 from andystorey on here, and then getting the 1inch steerer from Pace them selves. My build can finally start! i'll get pictures of it complete soon as possible!

    thanks for the reply, I'll keep a look out for Mag 21's. I've been looking for bombers Z3, as i've heard they are around the same year maybe a bit newer then the bike, any other suggestions? I've heard you can replace steerers on Pace forks? is this all makes or some of the older ones?

    haha, i know, couldn't resist haven't seen those pedals as NOS anywhere and been looking for a while, hefty price but worth it! i've seen damaged ones on ebay going for around the same price :o
