Me stupid.....i thought this thread is about AMERICAN frames and bicycles. :facepalm: Concerning drilling a drain hole into the bb shell, as long as you grease the seat tube/seat post sufficiently water inside the shell shouldn´t be an issue. And i don´t like the general "idea" to put holes...

Not as rapid as titanium. Ti stains within a (few) second(s) depending on the amount of heat applied.

I think it´s an unofficial repaint since the tubing isn´t Ritchey Logic (which means steel iirc). And yes, it´s a 1990 frame.

You/he have/has to look for the original XC Roller Cams. They came with "male" studs, but these are hard to find, much harder than the later XC Sport, XC Sport 7000, XCD 6000 and so on. A pic from a 1984 catalogue:
