Rear triangle makes me want to say late 90's Schwinn...? For some reason I thought they had a patent on the design for a while. Not sure.. just know they used aluminum and this frame style during the era......

It truly is a great looking project, and you have the right idea… keep it on the cheap, it alredy has a good grupo. -Do a complete tear down, degrease, clean, and re-lube all bearings and mechs. (polish the shiny pieces) -Clean, wax and touch up the frame, again, polish shiny pieces...

Can we get a serial # or close-up of the shifters? Cranks say 97-99 but rear xt derailleur is m750.... which says 2000+ if I am correct.
